			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just occasionally, religion actually appears to do something good.  Jews, Muslims and Christians have got together to draft a charter they can all sign, based on the golden rule (treat others as you would have them treat you).  This is an online global campaign, and not limited to these three religions &#8211; even atheists and agnostics are invited to participate too.  The Age has covered the story <a href="http://www.theage.com.au/national/charter-seeks-golden-rule-20081117-694h.html">here</a> and the charter website is <a href="http://charterforcompassion.com">here</a>.</p>
<p>Cynical question: How long do you reckon it will be before fundamentalists come out against it, saying that it doesn&#8217;t cover the basics of their faith?</p>
